Vagina museum opens soon

No. You have to eat out.

I recently learned the word “yonic” and think any vagina museum should, IMHO, have a section on yonic architecture… too often sex positive museums cater to the male gaze, either directly through racy imagery, or just by focusing on the access to birth control aspects of feminism. (Fake allies love to only care about being able to screw without consequence and look at porn but freak out when talk gets real)

I’d love to see an exhibit that say, talks about how often phallic imagery is present in architecture even when it is not required for structural reasons.

But there’s no nudity and it’s not vaginal enough to giggle at so my dream will remain unfulfilled… I leave you with these photos I found DuckDuckGoing “yonic architecture”

Remember, you can inquire about open hours, as the vagina museum only opens with consent.

So vaginas, vulvas and the upcoming museum dedicated to them… anyone want to talk about the actual topic at hand?

We could look into it…

We could do some ‘deep dive’ researching…

Get a museum, you guys.

Of course it isn’t a bad thing.
I wanted to say “I almost always agree with you two and thank you for your efforts in keeping up a great community, but in this case I seem to read the article posted very differently than you, and also don’t see bad faith in the posters intentions”.

I fully agree.

This might be a language thing, but I didn’t read it that way. Maybe the word “preferred” indicated, as you put it, a reproductive choice. I didn’t think of it that way and I do apologize if that came across like I had anything to say about other people’s choices.

Again, I fully agree.
The very idea that this is about the “right” or “wrong” way giving birth is totally alien to me.

I reiterate, I didn’t read that in the linked article or in the post.

I’m sorry if you have the impression I am telling you what to do with your body. I’m also confused about what caused this impression.
Maybe “my take” was poorly phrased.

This is derailed enough, so I will leave it at this, even if this feels really, really odd.

it would suck to work on the 4th floor of the far water side of this building.
with those curves and the arch, you’d have to walk to the var side of the first floor lobby, take an elevator to what looks like the 20th floor, walk across that, and take an elevator down 20 floors. uggghhh.

almost makes me want to pack some luggage. er um :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: oh wait, i get it, those are pursies, lol :joy:

The complex is missing from that image, possibly the camera was too low down or possibly photoshopped.

I have an eco-sexual acquaintance who has created several period-pieces, I must ask her if she has submitted a work to the museum.

Well, that’s Hans Ruedi G. for you.

i’ve been told using a public restroom in many types of dress is also pretty hard so uh karma?

I assume they’d have sky lobbies wtc style - elevator up, diag lifter thing ala the luxor in vegas, then elevator down.

or maybe a ferry

Yep. I’ve had my copy of “HR Giger ARh+” for ~20 years now, and occasionally I’ll go through it and try to reconcile the autobiography (includes Giger’s own candid statements) with the art: An apparent fascination with female and male genitals (and, by the way, with guns and **dark hidden spaces).

**Surrealistic and unsettling; per Giger, his attempt to exorcise a childhood fear.

I just love the model train set he built in his garden.

From the book it sounded like his one-way ride “ghost train” was mostly indoors until it exited into his backyard, then – later – the train ended up in what he called “the black room”, sort of a clubhouse for he and his impious brother cohorts. No pictures of that in the book. Now I’ll have to search out the ‘garden variety’ trainset. :slightly_smiling_face: In the meantime, I went here: The official WebSite of H.R.Giger-Ghost Train Nightmare

Ah ha! This pic from the site…

… reminds me very much of two of his concepts for the aborted Jodorowsky “DUNE” film.

It looks like the train got split into the two conceptual drawings!
