Being unused to “hella” I always had the urge to just walk away from anyone who used it in conversation. “hecka” just pissed me off. It means the same damn thing, just commit! (“but I don’t swear…”)
Don’t worry, it seems to have faded away (and I’m pretty sure it was South Park’s fault for spreading that one around). I have a theory that humans started swearing before they could form any other coherent words. 'Tis as natural as, well, fucking.
Just tell me one thing, do we have the valley to blame for whatnot? If the answer is no, all your sins are absolved. If yes, it may be necessary to nuke the valley from orbit.
