TL; DR for everyone: it’s a drug developed for heart conditions. Expect side effects which aren’t “recreational”. Also, don’t read that piece. It reads like someone snorted ritalin.
On another note:
“vision loss or becoming blue-tinged”? Hopefully at the same time. Or at least blue-tinged and colour blind (with trianopia, of course).

I wish someone offered something over the counter for hyperfocus.
I used to have it naturally, and spent the 1st 30 years of my life with it- reading voraciously. Some stuff was prescribed to me that altered things and removed it, and I stopped taking that, but it never came back.
Now I almost have a natural aversion to reading, despite most of what I own being books. It’s a small private hell of mine
