Normal box junctions are treated slightly differently to those on roundabouts (174), you can enter and wait if you are waiting to turn right if your exit is clear and it is only oncoming traffic or others waiting which is preventing you.

Someone I know had a Renault Clio Williams that met a sad demise doing exactly that (they weren’t driving, they’d lent it to an idiot).
