Fun watching with auto subtitles enabled. At some points it just gives up entirely.

It’s amusing that this came up because recently I was looking this up. Me and my SO were watching Ru Paul’s Drag Race and a contestant’s name is Dax!, and i made the joke that in some African languages someone might be inclined to click at the end of the name because the exclamation can be interpreted as a click.

As far as this video goes, it’s certainly cool to see just how different a language can be by incorporating unique sounds.

I still can’t do it. I’ll never be able to visit Gqeberha.

Listening to his voice is truly relaxing. I enjoyed just watching him speak.

Long ago, a friend of a friend of mom’s insisted white folks can’t click, after a discussion re: Miriam Makeba. Mom just looked at him, and began singing The Click Song, and he was shocked. She then explained it was one of my lullabyes, and that I could sing it with her.

I can still click, 50+ years later. I can’t do what Sakhile does, tho!

He is truly wonderful.
