Good choice, though the pedant in me yearns to point out that a levee only has water on one side of it when intact, whereas this is a dam (water on both sides even when working correctly).

Given the limited negative effects on the broader water system I have to ask was this a part meant to fail as a least damaging failure option or was this a truly unpredictable catastrophic failure?
