this is the satellite that was turfed by congressional republicans and finally bush jr., because the full-earth camera was apparently al gore’s idea. i’m glad the obama administration greenlit the funds to finally put this thing in space. it was sitting in a corner, packed up in cold storage for years. i’m just glad that dick armey didn’t get to it with a hammer.
