Well spending this much money on a company project like this and the following lawsuits from it probably got folks upset too

$3 Million is more than “please don’t reveal I was unfaithful to my spouse” money. That’s “please don’t reveal I’m a sexual predator” money.

I know the rape isn’t about sex, and that it is about power; but $7.5 million for oral sex seems like a very expensive power-trip. What a fucking wanker.

There is this, of unknown provenance-

“They are telling this of Lord Beaverbrook and a visiting Yankee
actress. In a game of hypothetical questions, Beaverbrook asked the
lady: ‘Would you live with a stranger if he paid you one million
pounds?’ She said she would. ‘And if be paid you five pounds?’ The
irate lady fumed: ‘Five pounds. What do you think I am?’ Beaverbrook
replied: 'We’ve already established that. Now we are trying to
determine the degree.”

If he was just a wanker, he wouldn’t be in this mess.

$12M. I’m guessing that engagement of an escort service would have been substantially cheaper.

Just to be clear, what are you calling the receivers of the payments in the BB post?

It’s funny because you accuse victims of being prostitutes!!

Just a hint: these women were coerced into sexual realtionships with somebody who had an inordinate amount of power over their lives and careers. After the fact, when the predator realized there may be external consequences to these abuses of power, he paid for their SILENCE.

The irony is if he had gone to professional sex workers (instead of abusing his power), he would probably have way more money and not be seen as an absolute creep.

Yes, but where’s the fun in sex within a balanced power dynamic?
/s, of course.
Guy is a creep using his position to demean women in his employ.

Also - well said, @Aeroplane
The ironic part is I bet McMahon is the type of guy who thinks professional sex workers are somehow immoral or “dirty,” and that he’s somehow decent. :woman_shrugging:t2:

And also, in the context of this thread, of unknown relevance.

Yep. His particular kink requires true victimization. (I wonder if his victims’ later voiced outrage only fueled his desire for more.) In a sense this reminds me of David Letterman’s comment about Paul Reubens when he was arrested for public masturbation in an adult theater, with David wondering why Reubens didn’t just watch porn at home. The answer to that question is obvious.
