Vultures circle GamerGate

I liked that exhibit. I found it ironic that “the Blue Army” was out front picketing one of the few religious images to be made in contemporary art. I could have done w/o seeing Dinos and Jake Chapman’s contribution, but I wasn’t going to picket it.

Unfortunately, that’s not true at all. It’s like saying that – and yes, I’m going Full Godwin, here – the Nazis were only concerned about having the trains run on time, and why shouldn’t we defend something like that? Because that would be false, the Nazis were not about having the trains run on time, and Gamergate is not about about “journalistic integrity.” It’s about hate poorly cloaked in an appeal for something that is given less than lip-service. Here are the numbers on the tweets, where the #gamergaters speak for themselves. tl;dr: they don’t talk about journalistic ethics or corruption in any statistically significant quantity.
