High-energy physics just next to computer room and electronics lab, and an accelerator going under presumably highly sensitive equipment. I don’t want to see the interference issues. The shielding must be pretty epic.
Also, living quarters are closer to the offices than to the labs. Ewww. (OTOH, the offices can serve as a damage buffering zone in case of a mishap in a lab. Sweetens the deal a bit.)
The Fantastic Four learned a hard lesson early on about the importance of good shielding.

But never the lesson of asking if something should be done just because it can be done.

That pretty much sums up the creation of every comic character for the most part…
“Let’s put our baby in this small rocketship, I didn’t think to build one for us. What’s the worst that could happen?”
“Let’s go to the opera tonight and take that back alley on the way home!”
“Peter Parker, NYHS Daily Gazette. Why, exactly are you subjecting spiders to radiation?”
“I made myself an armored suit to escape the bad guys, but just find it so comfortable!”
“An experimental serum to make me a stronger soldier, for America?! Where do I sign?”
Wait, did we just determine that comics are all summing up the idea that hubris is a really bad idea that’s consistent through humanity?

I think you just determined that comics say that hubris is a good idea.

There’s no Batman without parents dying’. There’s no Spiderman without the death of Uncle Ben. There’s no Superman without the destruction of his home planet. There’s no Thing without a very lonely Ben Grimm
I think all of these people would trade normal livin’ for all of these things. I think Wonder Woman was the only one whose creation myth was without a lot of pain.
There’s a lot of death and destruction as it is. If some superpowers result from that, it is a decent second prize. Especially when you cannot win the first one.
Was that featured in Make? or was it Craft?
I’ll have to replay the game armed with this knowledge. Thank you for the heads up!
It’s nice to know he walks the talk.
And it’s an honour to be a fellow backer with him!
TBH, since gamergate started, the shit’s been so hot we don’t even need to burn it to keep the turbines spinning.

Think about the fur balls you’d have to cough up later
We could always knit them into Boing Boing Brand™ socks?

I remember a diagram like that (for a subterranean power station) in a Thing comic (maybe this) – one of the first comic books I ever owned. It’s long, long gone – “save for future reference” indeed.
That romance option in Dragon Age made me want to play through again as a male character.

You sound like you possess some expertise in the appropriate making and receiving of of death threats?
Do go on.

well now, you’re the one imagining the world works that way for others…
ever wonder if all that is just in your head, and we’re all out here not organized against you personally, just… well, you’re being a bit disruptive and insulting, in my opinion. And yes, defending indefensible actions. And drawing flak that you seem to want?
You want some credible evidence? Then want to believe it is possible. There are people angrier than you, with fewer boundaries, and some of them hide behind the facade of normality that seemingly rational people like you bring to a discussion. Just let them defend themselves. If it’s not you, then don’t bring it up. scroll onward without comment.
But you do seem to have decided that there are ‘‘sides’’, and you do seem to be personally offended, so yes, you do seem pre-judiced.

This is what Wham Towers should look like, instead of being a 60s-era brutalist tower block.
(not that there’s anything wrong with brutalist tower blocks…)
