It’s been a while since we saw Wallace and Gromit.

Peter Sallis passed away in 2017 but it looks like the new voice actor does a pretty decent job performing as Wallace. (Apparently he did a small amount of work doing that character for brief scenes in A Matter of Loaf and Death but this is the first film where he’s doing the voice entirely.)

Norbot, the “smart” gnome, who is definitely going to go all murderbot at some point.

A voice-activated smart home device that ends up being more trouble than it’s worth- I wonder where they got that idea.

They got a good replacement for Sallis but I certainly hope that they can retain the same voice talent for Gromit and Feathers McGraw.

I love the characters, though for me a sense of authenticity is wedded to the claymation. I hope the studio won’t rely too much on CGI.
