Anyone who doubts weightlifting is the single most important thing to do to stay healthy should be forced to watch this.

Cardio is great but doesn’t keep your muscle. Weightlifting does everything.

I always like to offer up climbing as an all round workout that works muscles you didn’t realise you had and there doesn’t seem to be an upper age limit on that either which is good to know.

My Dear Mother in Law is still ocean rough water swimming at 85, and yes you will regret temping her to a race. I’ve seen Life Guards give up after 100 yards, she’s small and sprit in the H2o, has 7 decades of experience. We do squats together when I’m in San Diego, it’s the only thing I can beat her at, but pound for pound she’s got me every time…
