Thank you! Encountered more than my share of folks who assume, and are thereby disappointed, that the effect occurs if you just spin a few animation scenes on a cylinder. There has to be a strobe or a series of slots through which one peers or something which re-frames each image in some fashion.

I don’t think there’s a strobe light in use here, I think it’s just the frame rate of the camera that’s synched to the disc turning.
