I’m always curious how hundreds or even thousands of people all over YouTube have wild animals as pets, something we’re continually told is dangerous, disastrous and inhumane, yet their houses are always spotless and the animals always look healthy and like they’re having a great time.

I think it’s because it’s basically their job to look after the animals and make videos. If they didn’t have 24 hours a day to devote to them and to clean, the critters would probably be understimulated and the house would be a mess.

Maybe the animals also aren’t long with them. Explains why they are still interested in sharing pics and visa, and also why they are allowed in the spotless houses.

For granted, it’s an air popper, which results in flavorless popcorn if someone doesn’t add anything to it. I’m not that wild about it either.

Yeah, I feel sad watching videos like this. These delightful creatures should be exercising their playful curiosity out in the wild.

Delightful creatures indeed.

I’ll buzzkill this with otters are very cute but they are wild animals, not pets. Most small claw otter pets are the result of poaching and illegal trade and conservation groups encourage people to refrain from sharing the cuteness, as a means to decrease demand.
