Watch how responsive laser car headlights can change night driving

I’ve been wondering if the rear window of a car could be coated with a phosphorescent compound which would light up when hit by a laser. The laser would be mounted in the car, say above the rearview mirror, and the light would be steered by the equivalent of a laser printer mirror. All computer controlled, with a selection of stock phrases you could beam to the car behind you, plus the option to write/dictate your own.

Ooh. That would be awesome. And save a ton of money and electricity on streetlamps if universally adopted. Also, I would never again have to scrap ice off my windows.

interesting that no one has commented about the GPS aspect. The car always knows where I’m located, so then, what systems are reporting my location to other people? Another potential governmental tracking method?
