Watching the livestream of the vote counting in Congress. The objections for both Georgia and Michigan didn’t even get debated (unlike Arizona earlier today) because the Republican senators had a change of heart and withdrew their objections. The objections required at least one Senator as well as house member to be debated.
Political calculations are shifting swiftly today.
it was amazing to see the 55 house members stand up to object to counting the nevada vote. when pence asked if they had any senator backing them, they said no, the chamber broke out in applause, and they were rejected out of hand.
[eta] ugh, i spoke too soon. they objected to the pa votes, and are now adjourned.
