A reminder about curfews…
If an armed attack on the Capitol isn’t sufficient justification for calling in the National Guard - they should be disbanded.
They should never have been allowed to demonstrate there while armed. Their guns should have been confiscated at the minimum.
According to a protester on a live feed a few minutes ago, a woman in front of him was smashing windows trying to breach the building and was shot in the neck. He was, of course, absolutely outraged and saying “this sort of thing has to stop”. One wonders how he felt about all the Black people murdered for simply existing.
I believe the issue is that in DC, it would have to be the president who gives the order

Not even Texas allows guns on the state capitol grounds during protests. Though its fine on the streets around it.
I want to be alarmed by the possible destruction of valuable artwork in the Capitol building today, but realizing that it’s an exhibition of white supremacy destroying its own idolatry, maybe it’s for the best.
Now it gets really scary.
Once they get the riff-raff cleared out, a joint session would be perfect for ramming through an impeachment and conviction.
