Even that would take time. And there would be much weeping and wailing about “lost freedoms.” And, kid yourself not, the fact that these assholes are backed by multigazillionaires makes them much more resistant to the normal social sanctions. I agree that this is the way, but I fear the limited attention span of most Americans, and the lack ability to of focus on a long-term goal. Nonetheless, it must start, and it must start now. Make Nazis afraid to show their swastika’d faces again.

With or without Trump, USA is doomed. Someone voted her to be there. And those persons will vote again, as they think politics is a word game, with “clever” stunts like these, and not a methodical seek of the benefits for the masses, and the equality for all in society. For them politics is a game, to see who “wins”, and just that, like a childish tantrum.
“Doomed” is just defeatism. Someone voted for every awful elected official in the history of the United States. That’s why we have to keep voting them out. It’s an ongoing process, not a game we get to quit when we get tired of it.

They are the minority, though. 60-70% of Americans favour every single “progressive” policy you can think of; gun control, abortion rights, public healthcare, green energy, taxing the rich, and so on and on.

It’s quite a feat to be able to convey what a thoroughly unpleasant person you are in less than two minutes.
Although I’d be correct, explaining to MAGA that their silly word is a portmanteau would, in their confusion, cause them to declare that I must be ‘some kind of dirty greasy foreigner’.

I will admit it’s a lot of work, and I don’t look forward to it. But we can drag people, kicking and screaming, away from fascism.
We’ll preserve the rule of law and the social contract one city at a time if we have to.
As for the so-called clever stunts. It would not have been too bad of a stunt if the prop is there to get people’s attention. But Sen Ernst, like other MAGA cultists, lack the follow through to pull it off with any intelligence or guile.
A prop isn’t the basis of a rational argument. You can’t just hold up some Tic Tacs or a game parody and expect it to be the end of the discussion. Without substance or a complete argument, they are repeatedly mocked by commentators. And in a formal debate simply waving a prop around to imply something unsaid is a quick way to be destroyed in a debate.
Leave the silly props to the professionals.
