Could be his dad’s name if it’s a family business or a previous owner with name recognition.
My dad’s company was named after my sister, so there’s that too.

I always use the same process with a regular drill press, not an EDM burninator. But once the machine’s paid off, this way will be cheaper, because the electrodes are bound to cost way less than the fancy drill bits I’ll destroy drilling out a hardened tap.
