Indeed; there should have been a topic merge between the two threads.

Things are looking up in the right to repair world, and this is a Good Thing for everyone.

anybody who knows anything about Woz would not be surprised about this. he butted heads with Steve Jobs back in the day over stuff like this.

Woz was always the more cool, less uptight of the duo. Woz was, is still in a state of wonder at the world, enjoying the absurdity of how a geeky guy like himself can have such a following, and even go on Dancing With the Stars because hey, winning isn’t as important as just having goofy fun! Jobs was more about finding the one perfect moment, tweaking it until it’s just right, and woe to anyone who didn’t satisfy him. With Woz, it’s more about satisfying his own curiosity, but also encouraging curiosity in others. And Woz was never the control freak, even in life he can let go, because hey, he may have made it but you guys now own it.

The dude is a Discordian saint of the highest order.

The one thing that they both agreed upon was that they wanted the company to build things they themselves wanted, that no one else was making yet.
