That’s mesmerizing and still somehow hard to watch, just from the angles. I’d love to see a helmet cam version of that course.

Funny you mention that–as I watched the vid, I couldn’t help but think about Sagan’s Cosmos episode where he described what it would be like to ride a scooter at lightspeed (actually, he descibes Paulo’s riding a scooter at lightspeed, but whatevs).
I put my “is this the most Speed Racer-y thing” question to a friend who works on vintage race cars for rich people – he suggested that, today, the Isle of Man TT is, but it used to be this – the racers concern that during practice laps, you have to worry about small children and livestock
