But is there a version of the video without The Generic Battle of the Apocalypse Movie Theme Music in the background? (I swear, wasn’t that same music used in an Army recruitment Super Bowl commercial?)

Whenever this happens, I just mute the sound and replace it with Boards of Canada. Works great every time.

I agree, the music is actually less cool than lightning, and therefore superfluous. I just replaced it with Yackety Sax.

A bit too slick - looks like the kind of commercial you’d see at an airport. Still, some interesting footage of lightning bolts & how they spread/move/whatever! 
Yes the Boards will do just fine.
