Yeah, kidding aside, what it actually meant to me was to replace my trained European way of politely understating my abilities with somewhat believable assurance that I was more than up to any given task, even if I had never done it before. Running out of funds in a foreign country with no one to rely on for help will teach you that. And no @FFabian, it wasn’t heart surgery.
