I have a machining textbook from the 40s which reminds students to tuck their tie into their shirt before working on a lathe! No mention of safety glasses, of course.

The fact that they are all smoking is probably the biggest risk to their health.
Looks like fun to me.
Once you get past a few dozen feet, extra height doesn’t really matter; you’re just as dead either way.

This is why I stay on the ground - or as close to it as possible. Avoiding places where something might squash me from above also helps (those people on the deck aren’t even looking up). 
I’m glad you mentioned this. I watched the whole video trying to look for Kanienʼkehá꞉ka folks.
Wow. That is surprisingly hard to watch. Scary.
