No!? I was raised around horses before the internet.
Behold oh Happy Mutants what harmless old country folks watch for fun. My mum has sent me WAY too many of these videos.

I admit the way a gifted farrier does their thing is a wonder to behold. Amazing stuff with the massive nail clippers even bigger than Mark F loves. The silly curved knives. The big rasps but mainly the fire, nails, and hammering take great skill to use without causing any harm.

Why do people who don’t have a horse, pay for feed, vet, farrier, tack, fences, &tc watch these videos? Honestly, please!! Why?

I’m a firm “no shoes” horse person after dealing with a horrible abscess in the hoof years ago. It never healed until we went barefoot. We went through dozens of farriers, none any good, until finally Pussycat had to just do it herself. I think most of the problem was men not listening to a woman who knew better than they did about her horses feet. I tried to help but Jesus fuck my back.

I’m very thankful we finally found a good barefoot farrier, a woman, who does a really good job. Pussycat only has to go behind her a take a little more off some of the time
