Some trainers use a jockey-sized soft dummy, like a giant stuffed toy rider. No one risks injury during inexperienced young horses’ potentially dangerous AF “OMFG WTAF is this human doing on my back?!” bucking, rearing, plunging, bolting, etc moments.
