Obligatory:
So … octopuses came from Europa?
So, basically incontinence.
I think the write-up included here fails to capture how cool the context of the discovery actually was. On the Galileo mission’s closest flyby to Europa, its magnetometer collected aberrant data. Using the recent observations by the Hubble telescope, they modeled the data as having been measured inside a water geyser, hundreds of kilometers above the surface, and what they got closely matched the actual data.
They didn’t just show that it’s likely shooting water, they showed that they probably flew a probe right through it.

Uhhh…
To extract living things from Europa or Ecelandus would be absolutely ground breaking. Even more so, if the molecular building blocks turn out to be the same as Humans and Octopi.
