Sufficient mercaptans are probably in all varieties of garlic, I would imagine.

I have an even weirder trick: Just pick the damn thing up (with a clean hand, but I hope that goes without saying).
Between baking, pasta-making, and cocktail-making I have had many reasons to handle raw egg yolks with my bare hands. As long as you don’t go all Hugo the Abominable Snowman on it, chances are your yolk will be fine even without stinky fingers.
