I’m in a really weird space right now. I’d like to do something that is important to humanity as a whole. Not some Silicon Valley, we are changing the world bullshit, but something real. I also can’t say anything beyond that. Maybe this should be in the Fuck Today thread.
I want to write a movie script. I have so many ideas in my head which I keep noting down from time to time. One day I am going to make it happen.
This is a good thing that you want to do for humanity, right? Otherwise it does give that thread title a whole new meaning.
Buy a yurt, plop it down somewhere with no building codes and write. Not even sure I care about sharing what I’ve written… maybe after I die. I love writing but I feel like with that setup I would be able to do it all the time.
In general, I probably just need be more disciplined.
If I become financially stable I would love to split my time between Alaska and Hawaii. As for what I’d do, not sure. Probably odd projects.
Well, I have a job I don’t hate and no debt. But no college (thanks tech sector?) and not much hope of getting ahead of anything.
I could imagine doing some educating if I can afford the degree. ( STE(a)M or special ed)
Maybe I can find a foreign country that accepts the degree-less as english teachers.

There are a few, and you could study by distance if you wanted to get a degree at the same time. Schools can vary widely, but I had a very good experience teaching English.

Been there. I know so well what that’s like. I found that focusing a bit on mundane wellbeing for a time (eating better, exercise, therapy) has put me in a much better place, and I’m starting to go back into the spiritual side with a much healthier perspective. I also found that some time away from an established ritual group has caused me to reevaluate and solidify just what it is I actually believe.
Although, having a healthy perspective in the Pagan community seriously limits your options for people to practice with…
