Well if you want to read some race war porn, “The Turner Diaries” is probably the best of that genre. Like “Mein Kampf” and D.W. Griffith’s “The Birth Of A Nation,” it’s lost a lot of its shock value because so much of it seems to have become boilerplate for Fox News, but it does raise one’s consciousness about where this crap comes from. The writing quality is on par with later Heinlein, so consider yourself warned.

It’s also a nostalgia thing, because most of his works were out of print until the 1970’s, and when the Ballantine paperbacks came out it got quite a bit of attention. So for Baby Boomers, there is probably some nostalgia involved.
