This post is a good companion piece with Zeni’s, on how poorly medical experts currently understand the virus and its effects (e.g., while ventilators were such a big deal a week ago, turns out almost 90% of those put on them die anyway).
It seems that at this point, what everybody knows is indeed shit fuck.
Came here, saw my work was already done, and used the time to listen to Leonard, which is never a waste!

Thank you for shining a light on this performer. I found that he has a Bandcamp page:

I now have a few new theme songs to integrate into my life.
Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows that the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost.
That’s fantastic.
Youtube showed some interesting algorithmic propinquity to me at least after that delightful 15 seconds:
I wonder does it work in reverse too? That is, if Auntie Beatrice watches Mr. Scott’s edifying “Things You Might Not Know”, does Youtube figure, hmm, this lady may not know that Shit Fuck, better cue that up for her…
Yeah, I’ve seen John Maus before.
for everyone who’s to lazy to search through 24 releases to find this song, here 's the direct link to Everybody Knows Shit’s Fucked
Thanks. I hadn’t found it yet, but I’ve been distracted.
Depends on where. UCSF only lost one person on a vent. I think because UCSF had a low enough number of cases that they could still devote substantial time to each one.
It’s rather catchy.
I knew I’d heard those lyrics before:
This has become the theme song for my adult life. I’m unlikely to ever get my own biopic TV series, but just in case, I’ve got this at the ready for the credit rolls.
Everybody knows that the plague is comin’
Everybody knows that it’s movin’ fast…
Everybody knows that the rich are ready,
Everybody knows that the rest go last
A better cover version by Concrete Blonde:
Some hospitals in the UK have better survival rates with early ventilation, but that needs the hospitals to have enough ventilators in the first place and the UK as a whole doesn’t.
