Maybe 6th grade is too young to appreciate it. I was in college the first time I saw it in early 2000s. It got me into making my own time lapse videos.
Also, the problem with the movie is it presents urban life as dystopian. I have no patience for that world view. I love cities and their mass transit systems.

What strikes me is all the wary glances at the camera. These days it would either be completely ignored, or some wag would be flicking V’s at it…
