You know we had bulletin boards with the equivalent of classified ads back in the 80’s. Most were not graphical, but there were a few rare exceptions. Auctions are a bit more elaborate and I can’t think of any examples.
In 1988, this would have been monochrome, on a Hercules card.
Maybe 4-bit/16 colours in 640x200 resolution on a CGA card.
Now get off my lawn, and turn down that music!

I remember when half the auctions had no photo because digital cameras weren’t so widespread yet, and you had to post a cheque to the seller, which would have to clear, before your item was even posted
It seems not that much more advanced than the video
