How come I can clear the pin? What is the point of the pin? I don’t get it. Can someone explain??? Pullease?
The pin lets new users know that the forum mods believe this topic contains something important they need to know. Pinning puts the topic at the top of the category (if the topic has a category) or at the top of the homepage (if the topic has no category).
Clearing the pin indicates “yes, I read this thanks, I don’t need to see it cluttering up the list of topics forever unless I want to visit that topic, or someone replies to it naturally.”
Thanks. We have a similar feature on the forum I moderate but you can’t clear it.
