Judge people by their acts, not their words. Nobody should have fallen for Trudeau’s false promises, and maybe his fellow pols did not. They probably knew the promises were lies, and they used them as a cover story for their votes in Parliament.
Or maybe he was a better choice than the alternative.

I met Justin Trudeau 10ish years ago when he was doing his we should be nice to the environment pep talk circuit. He mouthed all the right words but if asked a question off script he didn’t know what to say. He’s just a pretty puppet riding on his father’s name.
Canadian Liberals are good at sounding like they are working in the public interest, but will do the same scumbag as the Conservatives whenever they think they can get away with it.
So not surprised at all.
