Here is the leaked report:

That last bit in the report, 1.2+ billion CDC website views. I bet trump saw that and and realized that he is less popular than CDC.

For small businesses that are thinking about reopening, I saw that Target has published a free-to-everyone set of resources. It incorporates the most recent info from the WHO, CDC, Small Business Administration, etc., and includes things like sign templates, protective measures for employees, etc.

If? Sure. “IF.”

What would happen if people like Dr Fauci, and people at the CDC publicly revolted? Could Dr Fauci testify to congress despite Trump’s objection? Can the people at the CDC just publicly denounce the President’s actions as endangering the public?

Free at last. Please, keep your emotions down, keep your emotions down. Children, it will not hurt if you will be quiet, if you’ll be quiet, if you’ll be quiet. It’s never been done before, you say? It’s been done by every tribe in history, every tribe facing annihilation.

Where is this from? The CDC report?

At this point, I’d be quite pleased if everyone in the administration who was aware of this report and suppression, and was responsible or didn’t object, should get 'rona and get first-hand experience.

Looks like a quote from the mass-suicide of Jonestown.

There’s a recording of the Jonestown congregation drinking poisoned kool-aid. You can find copies online pretty easily but unless your job requires you to study such things I recommend not looking. It’s grim stuff.

I would have to think this plot freaked some people the fuck out. The CDC is projecting the rate of spread to increase 5x during May. That is something that the gop would definitely want to bury. (also this seems considerably more dire than other projections I’ve seen)

You can’t fool Mother Nature.

Pretending the pandemic is over will only prolong it.

At this point there is nothing Trump can do to save the economy, he should be focused on saving lives, and using the federal government to save businesses and keep people from losing their homes (but, you know, “socialism”, so nope.)

“Oh look, ggplot2”.

I’m so desensitised to Trump admin shenanigans that that was my first thought on this graph.

Trump abandons science and CDC recommendations to embrace death thru ignorance? Trump is a man so possessed by his manically insecure me and my re-election above all else mentally ill ego, he is willing to insure a long term devastating virus and economic crippling of our nation. We are being presided over by a madman and his sycophant Republican Party of ignoring, excusing, and accepting ignorance. No, an enlightened nation will not accept national suicide by ignorance.

Okay, now I’ve seen the arse hanging under his chin in that picture, I can’t unsee it.

joy

I cannot stress how much joy it brings me, in these difficult and challenging times, that I effortlessly convinced someone that the Jonestown death tape transcript was a CDC report. My work here is never done but it’ll be a while before I beat that one.

From what I’ve read, those plots were just interagency data used for planning. This was their public plan (no plots, 17 pages of text) that the WH squashed:

CDC-Business-Plans.pdf (153.7 KB)

Mine was “Oh, log scale, probably a good idea” though on further reflection, log plots could (and probably will) be used to downplay the rise. “Look, the curve is barely going up at all.”

Yeah, I’ve already seen people say the curve is approaching a plateau because they don’t understand how log scales work

Where did you find this? Not that I doubt its provenance, it’d be nice to pre-emptively quash cries of “fake!” when I post it other places.
