Well that sucks. At least he had a good, long run.
which year has sucked most?
If (when?) they continue the show Alex deserves to be an answer, if not an entire category.
you will be missed, sir.

FYI, @tinoesroho posted a little bit earlier:
Sad no matter where you read it
What is genuine sadness.
I’m sure he and Sean Connery will spend lots of time together.
What is a man in Maryland very sad about this afternoon?
Thanks for all the questions and answers, Alex.
And fuck 2020.
Just last week I passed the final Jeopardy audition and am in the contestant pool. We actually asked the person we were interviewing with how Alex was doing and she said he was feeling great and taping shows. I’m heartbroken, but that seems par for the course in 2020.
RIP Alex!
R.I.P., Alex. You left us too soon.
And yet, the likes of Lord Dampnut escapes Covid19 without a scratch.(1)
Damn you, 2020!
You can’t end soon enough!

Trebek grew up in a bilingual French-English family, which may explain it.
I was on the show a few times, which means I got to hear about it throughout the day from a dozen different people on multiple platforms.
RIP Alex, and thanks for leaving us six more weeks of shows in the can.
“It was this year that David Bowie died.”
Right after Connery, like those old married couples you read about.
