Honestly, the article seems a bit pretentious. Normal people are the ones who blindly follow the crowd and cause the trouble in the world, not open minded thinkers like me:
The fact is, weirdos are often part of the mob (and sometimes leading it) and normal people are often the ones who show empathy and conviction, because thatâs how they were taught. We are also much more normal than we think (with the good and bad things that this entails), and a failure to see the complexity of other peopleâs experience is not a good sign.
It occurs to me that the sort of person who excoriates ânormalâ people in this manner is probably convinced that they, in stark contrast, are a special, unique and delicate flower, unwilling to seek common ground with others.
