Why (or why not) to vote for Bernie Sanders

It is.

But you need to be clear on who your enemies are, and who is “us”.

Hmm. Russia, Saudi Arabia, the City of London, Austria… places many would think of and many few would think of.

How original.

Seems to me that “running out of other people’s money” is exactly what Wall Street did a few years ago.

(wrote this a minute ago in the wrong place. ahem.)

An interesting question comes up in this clip – if Sanders loses, what will he demand from the Democratic establishment in exchange for not running on his own, which would very likely torpedo Mrs. Clinton in the general, and for trying to convince his movement to vote for her?

As he says here in answer to that question, “What are the Democratic establishment gonna do for us?”

Not I think that the Dem establishment would necessarily keep any promises they make to him and his movement. I wonder though, if he loses, what can he and his people do to better insure that it does keep them?

Okay… you replied to @funruly, but for some reason, I got a notification for it.

Oh how coy thou art.

Why not answer the question, Gerard, about who your preferred candidate is, instead of answering a different one about who it isn’t?

My heart goes out to all children in poverty, regardless of the number.
Child poverty is a major morality issue, don’t you agree?
The major cause of child poverty is broken families. The numbers go way down if Mom and Dad stay together and love each other.
The US spends 900B a year on anti-poverty programs, more then any other country in the world. While these programs help, they do not solve the problem and never will. Dare I say, “all we need is love” the beetles had it right!

It’s an economic issue, too. Plenty of people who remain married are still in poverty and plenty of single parents are not poor.

Wall Street did violate our trust, as did FANNYMay, the FDIC, the FED, and the SEC. Plenty of blame to pass around, including a lot of homeowners who borrowed money they knew they could not pay back.

Do you have trouble communicating with people who do not agree with you?

I would love to answer you but I think you are hopeless

Er, no. It’s clear that you’re resorting to ad hominem because you have nothing solid nor convincing to answer back with.

How would you make this happen? Put oxytocin in the water supply?

You may not like it but I have known families where the parents splitting up was the best thing that could have happened for their chidren. A loving single parent is far better for a child than two constantly argumentative parents who desperately want to get away from each other. And I haven’t even got started on my support for LGBT parents yet.

And people call me idealistic and unrealistic.
