ā¦is the only one of these books I own in first edition hardcoverā¦
Mine isnāt first edition (I donāt think), but it was my motherās from the late seventies.
The Giant Emu scene didnāt test as well with audiences.
My parents have got a hardcover version. I think itās first edition.
Actually, I think their LoTR is too - the three volume version, with the nice fold out maps. I donāt know that itās first impression though. Maybe I should get them to check and make sure itās looked after 
And maybe The Hobbit, too, but it definitely doesnāt have its jacket.
