The only countries still using imperial measurements are U.S., Liberia and Myanmar Most countries moved to metric (if they weren’t already using it) because it’s easier.

Which sucks because we have to buy two different sets of wrenches and ratchets.

The US shit ton would be called a short shit ton in the UK.

TIL a metric shit ton actually is a bit more than the US shit ton. It’s less than the English shit ton though which is why the usage confused me.

Actually, the US and English short shit tons are the same (2000 shit pounds). The long shit ton is also the same in both systems (2240 shit pounds), and is only slightly larger than the metric shit ton (or shit tonne), close enough for those who have to deal with that shit.
