Wisdom teeth removal is rarely necessary

And that’s why you always have someone you trust there to tell you later what was said.

This was on the radio recently, and it is very interesting!!

Basically they say that amount of codeine in OTC meds in Canada is too low a dose to be therapeutic, so they should get rid of it as the only people taking it are taking it by 100s.

On the flip side, for someone like me who reacts “differently” to pain medication, its the only drug on the market that does anything to my headaches (apart from SSRIs which help with the headache but seriously fucked me up in other ways so I stopped taking them).

Add to this the sexism inherent in dosages of medicines, and that women metabolize drugs differently because we have more fat (fat cells store stuff, not just fat) and you end up with some seriously messed up people! Why is the dosage for my 220lb BF the same for me at 135lbs? That makes no sense!

Yes, fortunately she’d also discussed it with my husband, who filled me in when I really woke up. So the next day, when the surgeon came to talk to me, she thought I remembered our conversation. That was the first I’d heard we’d even had a conversation. I had wondered why she hadn’t come to see me in recovery!
