We’ve had situations like that happen here. In the US, due to HIPAA laws, we cannot defend ourselves, since to do so we would have to either confirm or deny that the person is a patient of ours, and that is not allowed. I don’t know what the answer is, but it sucks when someone you have never seen or treated can announce publicly that you are incompetent and dangerous, and you cannot even respond.

Yes. I’m exhausted by the neologism “unaliving” which has cropped up on social media.
