So the shapes that fold in on themselves and are less “smooth”, his words, is due to daylight savings time.
Yet another reason to get rid of that horological abomination.
Horological Abomination is the name of my band.
Since we have two periodicities (24h, 365d) here, I’d like to see it on a torus.
I assume the calculations would apply at my coordinates if all was level around me. But my modular home (i.e. trailer), surrounded by tall conifers, is located on a westward mountain slope. I rather suspect that on any specific day (if weather isn’t storm-cloudy, like today) the hours of sunlight reaching my front steps wouldn’t be accurately represented by this woodwork. But it should be fine after a moderate meteorite flattens the region.
Great idea. The inside of the torus could be the night time so it doesn’t need so much room.
