If America is facing a spiritual crisis today — a crisis of meaning, identity and belonging — then having more leisure time is the medicine we need.

It seems to me that the real crisis is greed. No matter how high wages are set, there’s no way to prevent corporate interests from increasing the cost of living to keep leisure out of the reach of the masses. This is what could undermine UBI, and why Biden’s proposals to stop excessive profits might help more:
