You can help decide the next Girl Scout Cookie Mascot: will it be a bison, ferret, bat, or mountain goat?

I thought it was Kaluta!

I have several signed prints by him.

The guy I buy from has one print of Starstruck that is from Kaluta’s reserves.

Glimmer Graphics packs things super well, if you get tempted to order from them.

Megabats (fruit bats) are wonderful flying ees puppers.

Meep de la Coconuts is a little red flying fox

His ears were damaged when he was a pup.

A grey-headed flying fox mum and big baby

They’re much larger than the little reds.

Australia also has black and spectacled (called speccies, of course) flying foxes, little blossom bats, as well as the weird & wonderful tube-nosed bats

like darling little Wiggles here!

Doubtless there are other megabats, but the folks I follow on yt mostly encounter the little reds, blacks, and greys where they live. There are many kinds of microbats Down Under, too, the ones who echolocate and mostly eat bugs. They do some pollinating, too.

Megabats are crucial for the continued health of rainforests, by spreading seeds in their spats (they do not eat solid fruits & expel spats after squishing out & drinking all the juice), and pollination.
