That one’s quite clever that way it buries her hair. I don’t quite see how it slides out of the prosthetic and looks so tidy afterward.

It sounds like those things were developed as a quick way for Hollywood stuntmen to pass for female actors (at least in wide shots) but the creators quickly realized there was more money to be made in the niche/fetish market.
