The Ghost In You is my favourite Furs track.
Also, strangely, one of my favourite Siouxsie tracks.
Not a cover, but a brilliant song nonetheless.

I’d forgotten about Laura Love’s delightfully spare cover of Nirvana’s Come As You Are, but then it got stuck in my head, so here it is.
Wow!
Mellow as you like until 1.50, then she lets loose both barrels!
Made me jump in the very best way, thanks.
I absolutely love CHVRCHES and I also absolutely love The Killing Moon. They definitely do it justice.
The Offspring played yesterday in Stockholm.
A great, fun, gig - they have energy to sell and engaged a lot with the public.
I didn’t know they had this classic cover in their repertoire, ape included in Stockholm too.
Is this the stage at Haga Park?
Nej, på Grönalund.
Stockholm’s attraction park.
For about 40€, you get the pass for the whole season.
Mostly old glories and half unknown artists.
Tonight, it was Ellen Krauss, a young singer (she’s 22) with simple unpretentious ballads, I enjoyed her a lot more than I expected, very fresh and spontaneous, a couple of really beautiful songs.
I was at Haga Park for National Day recently, but the music was decidedly less pop/rock!
What’s that now, like 500 krona?
More like 35 € (400 SEK), I just went for the mental 10 dB conversion - totally worth it.
A little known fact about the Swedish Krona it’s that its value is synchronized with my expenses.
When I had money in Italy and needed to buy my apartment, it was at its all times high.
Now that I’m in the opposite situation, it’s at one of the deepest low I have seen.
Sorry, wildly off-topic.
I’ll amend with a Screaming Females cover of Taylor Swift:
Fun facts: I only recently learned this was a cover from my daughter - I had never heard the original before.
It’s so cool that Benmont is playing the piano in her version.
That’s lovely.
