I’ve heard some worrisome issues about the lead singer, but this would absolutely be my response to that:
When UB40 covered Red Red Wine Neil embraced it and sang his own reggae version in concert. We saw him live sing this version. Cool stuff.
Speaking of Neil, how about Deep Purple covering Kentucky Woman.
