Another pro is that it uses ActivityPub. Migration out of Zuck’s walled garden will still be difficult, but the standard will get people used to the idea that there is an alternative to what will no doubt be a poorly moderated billionaire-owned cesspool of mis- and disinformation (and, as always, privacy violations).

You don’t think Zuck isn’t a right wing trolley? At best he’s depraved indifferent, but I suspect he’s just marginally more media savvy than Musk.
